Osteopathy Works wonders for all ages. Even though the body of a new born looks completely different from the body of a child, a teenager, an adult, or a senior. The principles of Osteopathy remain the same. Our goal is to have the best structure possible, allowing the blood to flow throughout the body unhindered, which will lead to healing.

A baby’s body is very resilient, and is very responsive to treatment. Anyone who has watched a birth either live, or on video, is aware of the pressure and twisting a baby can handle.
If a baby has trouble sleeping, digesting, feeding, or swallowing, a change in the structure of the body can very often be beneficial, and help the symptoms. Since the body is very receptive to treatment, it often does not take much a push to get a change.
As we all know, Babies are in a C curve in the Womb, and after birth, prefer to be in that same curve. However, this is a tough position to be in at all times, and also perform the rest and digest duties of the parasympathetic system.
Osteopathic treatment often gets the baby out of the C curve, to change the HYPER kyphotic C curve, in to a more regular kyphotic C curve.
Also, baby may prefer to bend one way over the other, or have the head in one direction more than the other. This will bother the sacral nerves if there is a side bend in the body, and the Vagus nerve if there is a rotation in the neck. These are the 2 areas affecting the parasympathetics in the body. Often if the nerves involved in rest and digestion are free to function, baby will be less cranky and will sleep better and feed better. This will not only increase the health of the baby, but of the entire family.
