The fascia at the bottom of the foot is often associated with over working, standing all day, or moving too much. However the foot is designed to withstand all the pounding put upon it. This is why many large athletes will go their whole career without this injury ever occurring. Many cases of plantar fasciitis are due to a misaligned pelvis, or hip. The pelvis or hip having issues will often put tension on the back side of the leg, and causing issues with the fascia over the glute, hamstrings, calf, and plantar fascia. The combination of he plantar fascia being on tension due to these issues, and the continuous pounding on the region while working often lead to this injury.
